The M4 Improved is an American tier 5 premium medium tank. A variant of the M4 medium tank with angled hull and turret armor. It was developed by the Detroit Arsenal in August Existed only in blueprints. The M4 Improved is a quick tank with a very nice playstyle, but the gun performance is quite bad, so it is recommended that you flank your enemy. The M4 Improved should be used as an aggressive flanker or defensive close-range fighter. It can bounce lower tier guns. The M4 Improved plays somewhat like a much slower version of the Cromwell. Welcome to Wargaming.
This is basically the opposite of how things work. I feel that particular is better at short range while that is better at long range. The is similar to the on KV. Inaccurate slow reloading gun on a slow tank can result in a lot of frustration.
Does it make sense? M3 Lee and Matchmaker – posted in Medium Tanks: Dont get me wrong, the M3 lee is a wonderful tank, but sometimes I.
The M3 Lee is an infamous tank in World of Tanks in being that it is hated by many players since it is acquired early on and is difficult to grasp. The M3 Lee is not a medium tank although it is classified as one, but rather it is a tank destroyer in a sense. The top 75mm packs a decent punch for tier 4 damage per shot and also has a very high 20 rpm. While this does let you spot people quickly it allows them to shoot you before you area able to shoot them back.
With the view range being a paltry m you will want to equip coated optics to cover up this slight negative. The gun depression being -9 degrees is helpful…. Firing While Stationary: 2. Turret Gun Traversing Full Speed: 6. Hull Traversing Full Speed: 9. As stated in the armor section I cannot point it out enough that the two top turrets will stick up above hills before you crest.
Keep this in mind since you will often find yourself being destroyed very quickly before you are able to get any damage in.
[edited] Is Wrong With Matchmaking?
Controversially I think the MM is okay. Sometimes you get good teams, sometimes bad. Sometimes you’re top, sometimes not. Sometimes you dominate, sometimes you don’t. I’m agree with that.

Matchmaking rule changes have shifted around Tiers II and III somewhat, you do There is the M4 Sherman, preceded by the M3 Lee; or the KV-1 which follows.
Way back when, probably something like a year ago, on his blog perhaps in a comment Overlord said the most common quitting points for the new player in World of Tanks were Tiers III and IV. Matchmaking rule changes have shifted around Tiers II and III somewhat, you do not have to go very far at all to find someone struggling. Why is Tier IV the pressure point however? Well there are several factors and game design decisions that contribute to Tier IV being the pressure point it is.
Take two tanks, the Covenanter and the Panzer 38 nA. Both appear to be Tier IV light tanks, and on the basis of the information in-game there is no suggestion of any particular difference between the two. However, there is one critical difference, and that difference is one of the rocks that most commonly wrecks a potential World of Tanks career.

When you are starting out, if you’re not a natural ace tanker, tier 1 and 2 can be challenging. I have moved through the tiers very slowly as I need to learn – I’m not naturally gifted with the dexterity required for video games – and I have always found the tiers above the one I am currently on to be challenging. I am currently on tier 5 and it feels very comfortable for me.

M3 Lee is a GOOD tank – posted in Medium Tanks: I decided that I want to try The only disadvantage is that the tank has a bad matchmaking.
This is the only FTP game I have ever seen where you can literally play on the same level as someone thats paying cash to play. Sure there are some advantages and they might have better tanks or ammo but in the end a free tank can kill a premium one. Never said equal in every way, just saying it can be done. Cash does not equal win in this game. And I don’t feel like a huge part of the game is missing either. A few tanks are not there but thats about it. I now pay for premium just for the faster exp and credits but went thorugh T7 free to play.
Its a great game and I usually hate FTP. Anyone complaining about balance is a moron.

It was difficult to choose the best one, as I said a while ago. If you ask almost anyone, they would call me mad or at least an idiot, because the Somua is a hated tank among a lot of people. But I did very well in that tank. My WN8 rating when I sold it was 2, Part of this is because I played it somewhat recently, after I had learned a lot about the game. All light tanks now get regular matchmaking. Here, I will focus on tier IV light tanks that are not scout tanks.
You can see which one I think is the best here. But what about the worst? It used to be the M3 Lee a while ago, and when World of tanks introduced the British Grant tank in patch 9.
